Walters Collection Zoom with Julie Jeffrey '58 Session 1

The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, has a rich collection of paintings and rare objects dating from 5,000 BCE to the present day. Two Baltimoreans, William Walters and his son, Henry, purchased the art that eventually provided the nucleus of the modern museum. The first Zoom presentation will explore some of Walters’ significant acquisitions and show how their choices reveal American collectors’ taste in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
